Sad Death of DS Patient

I don't really know any back info on this person.....but a tragic story......

Don't know who is to blame......just so sad......

Just a reminder that WLS is serious and complex. Things can happen with any surgeon....but like anything else some are better than others.....

Nobody but us Obese people know the frustration and trauma that goes along with being fat........The thought that we can lose the weight with surgery can fog our reasoning. The desperation for a new life that WLS can bring us to do some desperate things.

Insurance woes, financial restrictions..... can't blame anyone for taking the cheap way out, or going along with a rookie, or picking a surgeon for any other reason.

A good time to remind everyone to research and study.

Just a sad story......

It is a very sad story....I recognized her face from a few posts.  I really wonder what happened....she was so young and so excited to be having surgery.

My condolences to her family and friends.

That is a very sad story indeed.  So young.  Frisco keep us posted if you find out anything about what happened. Thank you for sharing.

I hope this helps people, to do more research with their surgeon choice.  I know my doctor is young, but he has a great record behind him, with very few issues, and no leaks.

How tragic....and sad.....my condolences to her loved ones.  I woke up this morning....and the song  " If I Die Young" By.."The band  Perry"  was on........this line stood out....."who would of though....forever would be severed...by the sharp knife...of a short life"

A life too short.......indeed     I think she was 26

She was so young, only 26 years old. My prayers are with her and her family.

After reading her blog it is clear to see how excited she was for her surgery. She felt comfortable with Dr. Juarez, and was impressed with the staff there.  It is sad, and I will be looking to see what the autopsy reveals.  She ended her last post with "SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE", and though I know it's not how she meant it, one day her friends and family will.  Praying for her loved ones as they face the days ahead...

Dr. Juarez, in Mexico.

He has a horrible reputation especially on the DS board.
