Does anybody enjoy Indian food and have wl?  If so what types do you like?  I am curious to try Indian food as a place opened up near us.

Absolutely.  Granted, you ought to wait until you are healed before introducing spicy foods to a stomach, because extra irritation on a fresh wound is no good, but after you are healed?  Absolutely allowed, you just have to see what you can or cannot tolerate.  The only thing that has bothered me spice wise was some pico that had insane amounts of scotch bonnet pepper.

The questioner is 6 months out why wouldn't she be? Chicken tikka Marsala and butter chicken, is to die for. Rogan Josh is a tasty mid spice dish.  If your brave Lamb/chicken Vindaloo but you have to love hot.  There a lot of good shrimp choices also and their cauliflower and lentils are terrific.  I stopped doing Indian food way before surgery because it was too hard for me to have a low carb meal.  I have no problem with Chinese or Japanese without rice but Indian without Naan Bread and pilaf rice was almost impossible.  i am hopeful if my restriction remains i may be able to incorporate it in maintenance. Good luck.

I like masalas and tandooris, same as Bubs, but honestly - I havent met an Indian meal I havent liked!

Edit, if dense meats are giving your tum a whirl, then a Paneer something is good - Paneer is a denseish cheese that does not melt.  Like the Mexican frying cheeses.
