3 weeks today!  I have been drinking protein shakes and liquids every day since my surgery.  It's so nice to eat something :)

I've been on soft foods for 2 weeks tomorrow. My favorites are tuna. Scrambled eggs (I only like eggs scrambled with sugar free hungry jack butter flavored syrup from Kroger. It's weird because I use to like eggs no matter how they were cooked). I have also been eating fat free refried beans with 2% cheese. It's a little crazy how little we can eat now.

Anyway, I also am still having a hard time getting my water in. I really have to work at it. I have experimented with a little bigger drinks and I have done ok. For me, cold water is easier. But yesterday, I was really busy and didn't keep drinking water and got dehydrated. My face got flush and started to sweat. I felt dizzy and had to lay down and put my feet up. Otherwise I have no doubt I would have fainted. I've never had an issue with blood sugar or anything like that so I am pretty certain it was from dehydration. It was no fun and I learned my lesson the hard way. So, hopefully you will learn it from me. Drink, drink, drink!

Good Luck!
Do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet.

Hey She   we have the same surgury date!!!!
I have had ZERO problems since being home on 10/5  Sine 10/7 I have been able to get most of my water in . So far I havent done a protien shake I know I need to but never found any I liked.
I am doing most non meat soups now and had mashed potatoes last night with Ricotta cheese added. I have done plain tuna as well as small pieces of cheese.

My advice is to go forward slowly, chew it well try one new thing at a time.
