Last year at this time I was wondering if the VSG would 'work'. Oh, yeah, baby it works! Sometimes it works even when I don't help it along!

I love this life and I'll repeat what other veterans have said. I wish I had done it sooner.

To all of you newbies out there, hang in there, the ride is a breathtaking and your life will be more than you anticipated.

Ro, your 'day' will be here before you know it and that first year zips by (kind of like all of them do for me). Trust your surgeon and follow 'the plan' as best you can and you will have no worries.

You have done GREAT! I love seeing everyone that had surgery before I did and seeing how well everyone has done. You're right, the newbies need to know that this is an amazing surgery that is life changing and wonderful. Congratulations on your success!!

Nicole, I think there is magic in that date, really! Give yourself time to adjust in the beginning and everything will fall(off) into place in time. Wishing you a quick and uneventful recovery.
