Holiday baking Ugh!!!

Hi,

Well my daughters & I did our annual baking on Friday. Then my DH and I went to a friend's 50th bday party. This weekend my DGS's first birthday party was today. I have totally fallen off the wagon today. I have had so many sweets & on myfitnesspal.com my calorie count was about 1800-1900 calories!!!

Needless to say tomorrow I am back on track and no snacking! It is a scary reminder how quickly I can fall back into bad habits and gain what I have lost back. So very scary.....

You can do it!  It's so hard to stay 100% on program this time of year.  As long as we get right back on track we can still be ok in the long run and that's what really counts!

I noticed a lot of posts from people "falling off the wagon" with holiday sweets.  This is a really hard time of year.  Keep honest with the recording of your calories and  tomorrow is a fresh new day wtih no mistakes in it.

I find behavior modification with regard to food is the MOST hardest thing I've ever done. I am in awe of those that have such a will power! I totaly wish I did!

At least you recognized your actions, good for you and good luck to a new day tomorrow!

Hi Lynn,
I haven't had my surgery yet, I'm scheduled for 12/15, I'm just curious are you actually able to eat those kind of foods and that many calories. Don't get me wrong I'm glad that you can still eat sweets. I just didnt think we could actually eat that much...

Hi,

I was totally off program yesterday. I "nibbled" a lot all day - which is a big NO.

I cannot eat all of that at one time. For example, if I have an egg and a piece of low carb toast or a piece of sausage with the egg (not with the toast) that is all I can handle at one time. Usually, I can only have about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of food. But - I have noticed with certain sweets I do not have the restriction or feeling of being full. So it is really important to see what I can and cannot do.

So, if I was eating the right foods, I couldn't eat that much at all. On regular days I have between 800-1000 calories, and 50 or less carbs usually.

HTH! You will love your sleeve!

if baking is a trigger for you... is there anyway you can stop baking?
do you bake your gifts?  is that why you are doing the baking>?

well hun,  get back on track and you will just have a lesson learned.
dont beat yourself up.  we all go off track, we just need to get back on quick
or else we get into trouble.

yes I agree very scarey when we get to this place.
