Very Upset

I was scheduled for surgery monday, my WL center just called and said my insurance denied my surgery because my BMI is under 40. I have taken all the steps that the the center told me to. I am so upset right now , they had previously told me that I needed two out of the five issues and I ended up with two after all my testing. The lady on the phone just told me that my insurance does not accept the two I have. what the heck?? so she said they looked at my chart and i have had high blood pressure several times that I have seen the Dr. and PA. She is apealing the denial and she said they should call her back today. Please say some prayers for me and that the approval comes back. All this anxiety of this build up to the surger, then this???? Im just lost right now

why was surgery scheduled w/out approvals from insurance?   that's what i would be pissed about.

I know, the office girl called me after last visit and said she had contacted the insurance and that everything was covered and I only had to pay for the office visit. I was told twice that my insurance had approved my surgery.

Just curious, how much weight would have you to gain to meet a BMI of 40?

29lbs heavier would get me to 40.

Ouch! That is a lot, I was thinking maybe five or 10 pounds you could gain, but 29 not too easy. I will be praying that things work out in your favor and you get approved to move on with your surgery next week. Good Luck!

 Hmm you said that you would have to gain 29 lbs but on your ticker you weigh 254. How tall are you? I am 5.5" and i weighed 259 and had a BMI of 43. 

 LOL that makes more sense..I was thinking she must be really tall..LOL  I think you should try to submit your original weight and see what happens..Good Luck to you,  :)

When I first started is was 254, I had an issue with something in my abdomen and started being nauseated really bad, I couldnt eat like I used to but I looked at my ticker and i made a mistake, I just weighed and I am 245. I am am 5'9" so I would have to be 271 to have a BMI of 40. So as of right now, I would have to gain 26lbs.
