Diary of a Slow Loser 4th month addition

I am now 4 months out, I lost a whopping 3lbs this month. And yes the loss's are soooooooo slow, however my belt which I bought in Novemver and could barely fasten on the last hole is now on the 4th hole and my 17's are now falling off of me, and my 18's...forget it can't keep them up. So I've gone from a 20-22 to a 16 in 4 months and I am down 41 lbs total 34 since surgery.

My hair is falling out in buckets...this is really making me nervous as I've always had great hair. My body might have been giant sized but my hair was always rockin. So I'm hoping anyday now it will slow, as it can't get much thinner! They say hair loss comes with rapid weight loss, however I have not had the joy of that to compensate with my lost hair!

People are really starting to notice now, which makes it nice in some ways and painful in others as I hate to lie, and am not comfortable with telling people my buisness, so the "what r u doing" question is getting tougher. But the one good part of being a slow loser is I can stick to the I'm just eating a high protein low carb diet and watching my portions size answer and not be lying!

I'm glad you are at least seeing it in the inches.

You have a good attitude about it all which will get you to your goal.

Best wishes to you and here's hoping for a 10 lb month next month!

I still consider myself a slow loser, but I've been getting at least 2 lbs a week for the last couple of weeks. Changed some things up and it seemed to work.

Hi:

Thank you for your post.   I am in the same boat.   I am 3 months out on the 4th and have lost 29 lbs.  I feel great and am fitting into new clothes all the time but the scale isn't showing it.   I started tracking my calories and I was only eating 800 calories a day and when I upped it to 1200 calories a day I started losing more.

I walk 4 to 5 times a week for an hour at a time plus use the exercise bands 7 days a week.  I need to work on the water but other then that it will come off but I would like it a little faster.

Hey all,  I was a slow loser after the first month or two and sometimes lost 4 lbs. my surgeon predicted I would end up at 150 or 160.  But I had followed the program and kept to it. He said increase protein and exercise. I did but only for about a month. That seemed to kickstart things a bit. Anyway, I still lost more like 6 or 7 lbs a month and lost every single excess pound. Just took a little longer. So you can and will get there. Just keep at it. It will work. Read my blog page about this stuff.

Ya know, there ought to be a slow losers group. Some of us are just made that way. GL. you will do this.    And I lost some hair too though not bad..    I think keeping the protein up helps this.   Diane

Thanks to those *****plied!

I think a slow losers group would be fantastic! We could motivate and challenge each other and chat about what helps and doesnt help! Then I'd have someplace to go and not feel so inferior...

Let me know who is interested and if I get responses I'll set it up! I'm going to repost it as its own topic!
