TOO LATE NOW....but thought i'd ask anyways !

Hello OH family,
I am very nervous about my situation. At my initial consult for surgery, I weight 245 but as I went throught my 6 month weight management requirements, I have gained and maintained an extra 15lbs. My nut doesnt seem to be bothered by it. I have my last weigh in tomorrow and then my paperwork will be submitted. I am afraid they would deny me based on the weight gain but pray they dont. Has this happened to anyone else before surgery? I am told I have to do a 10day liquid diet before surgery which is fine by me. Do you or anyone you know had this happen to them. Your response is apprciated. Thank you! 

Thanks for your input, we actually have the same Surgeon. I am going to Dr Jones too at Park Nicollet so that makes me feel a lot better. Hopefully I will join you on the loosing bench soon.

 I gained 18 pounds during the same time-frame and had no issues getting approved.  I am sure they are all used to people saying "screw it, I am getting surgery" and packing on a few pounds... you should be good to go, I wouldn't worry.

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me ... I said screw it in my mind. This is the highest weight I have ever been in my life and believe it ...its uncomfortable so surgery is my best bet right now. Thank you so much for your input. It makes me feel much better! 

 I am so glad to hear you all saying this! I am waiting for approval from my insurance and since Nov. I have been gaining like crazy! I am at my highest weight ever and miserable! I am ready to have my surgery! Hopefully march! 

 Me too. I am at my highest weight ever and very miserable. I pray you get an approval. I pray I do too. Hopefully we will both be on the losing bench soon. 

Like everyone else here, I gained 10 lbs during my 3 month supervised diet and i'm waiting on approval right now. Makes me feel a little better. Here's hoping!
