Lots of times I see new people - especially those who start at a higher weight like  did - who wonder about whether they can succeed or not at this.  I was cleaning off my memory card for my camera, and found this photo from before my surgery.  Thought I'd share, along with a photo today today.  Before photo  was at around 365.  Today's photo is at 167.  I am still working to get these last 15 or 20 pounds off - I think I want to be around 145 or 150.  We'll see. There's no reason I can't - my restriction is excellent, and I've worked hard to change my lifestyle.

So yes, you CAN do it with restriction alone.

Wow, OnederlandHereICome!!! You look FANTASTIC! Congrats!
I am going to have the VSG done by Dr. Aceves 16 March, and when I was filling out my info wt/ht/BMI - I came to work (I work in Pediatrics), stepped on the scale and OMG. I honestly thought I was about 320, and was shocked when I saw 339. Ugh! So, when I was looking at the board, I was seeing alot of people in the 200's and thinking 'man if they are in the 120-150's now after surgery, should i expect to be in the lower 200's?'.... so THANK YOU for the post!!!!

Britt - yes the Sleeve will be able to help you.  I had my sleeve on 4/25/11 at a surgery weight of 411lbs (heaviest weight was 435 lbs) as of today I am at 282lbs (153lbs total lost).  My goal weight is 185lbs.  I am so glad I had the procedure just wish I done it a little sooner.  Please feel free to message me if you have any questions!
