I am 10 weeks out and was not given a plan so I am not sure how much to eat at this point.  Can someone tell me how many ounces or cups.

My plan for 3 to 6 months is:

1/2 c. maximum per meal
90% protein
40-50g protein/day

I know mine differs slightly from some of the other plans, but so far mine has worked for me.  Good luck... btw... do you have a Nutritionist you can call?

I do have a NUT, but she is as good as a bump on a log!!  She doesn't know anything and doesn't care to help when I"ve asked for direction.

Between 2-4 oz.  Start with 2 oz, wait a few minutes, and see how you feel.  If you're satisfied at 2 oz., then stop.  Don't try to eat until "full" - you won't like the feeling.

Okay I have been doing between 2-4 oz. so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't damaging anything.  Originally I could only do 1-2 oz. so I was concerned due to eating more ounces.  Thanks!

Your capacity will increase a bit with time.  Believe it or not, your tummy is STILL swollen from the surgery.  And the increases always seem to happen overnight.

How many ounces can you eat since you are a year out?

I seem to have leveled off at 4-5 oz.  4 if it's dense protein; 5 if it's something like chili or a liquidy casserole.  It's a good place to be - I can get all my protein in and comfortable have some veggies.

How many times a day do you eat?  Do you snack?  Do you eat fruit?

I eat anywhere from 3-6 meals (or mini-meals) a day.  Just like pre-op, I have hungry days and other days when food just doesn't interest me.  But what I eat is planned.  My snacks lately have been raw veggies, or 1/2 of a quest protein bar, or roasted edamame, or cheese chips.

Fruit, well, I never was much of a fruit eater even before surgery.  Now, fruit is pretty limited to blueberries in yogurt or a few slices of melon or some grapes if I'm at a meeting with a food spread.  Could I eat more fruit?  Sure, there's nothing stopping me but my own taste.
