oh no oh no oh no!  I;ve come too far now for this to get postponed.  As long as I;m not sick the day of surgery I'll be okay, right?  In terms of anesthesia, it won't matter if I had bronchitis a week and a half before surgery, right.  I'm trying not to panic!

Ok - deep breath (but not too deep, you'll start coughing).  You have a chance of being fine for surgery.  Your surgeon and anesthesiologist will make the final determination.  If they feel you aren't healthy enough, then it's for the best to wait.  You want to come out of this surgery fighting strong ready to kick the fat out right?  So relax, get better, and hope for the best!

Good luck!

As long as you aren't still coughing up a lung, have a fever, etc by a few days before surgery, you should be fine. Have you been to your PCP for meds to get it cleared up?

start taking extra vitamin d & c.  there is some wicked bronchitis going on around here and it has been lasting a month for some.  i got rid of it in a couple of weeks because i tweaked out my immune system with D&C (and an herbal antiviral).

good luck!  think positive and don't forget to use a humidifier to get that gunk out.  the more you cough and spit the faster you get the crap out and don't let it sit there starting a bacterial infection.
