How long do we need to crush pills?

Had my surgery on 01/23/12.   I forgot to ask my surgeon how long am I supposed to keep crushing my pills?  Anyone know?

 Depends on what your doctor recommends. My doctor said I didn't have to crush any of my pills, I took them whole.

I dont crush anything smaller than a Tylenol. Just give your surgeon a call.

I never had to crush any. When Istarted my vitamins I had a couple I had to split. Now I take all of them whole.

The pain meds they gave me after surgery when i got home were big horse pills, lol.  I've been taking them since the beginning.  The only thing you have to watch it that you give them time between each one, like I would say about ten minutes or so or they feel like they are building up in my throat.  I have not had any issues from it though!

I never crushed anything.  My doctor gave me liquid Loratab and I took Centram chew-ables vitamins.  One perscription I had for antibiotics was very large and I was kinda scared but I had no problems with it going down.
