Do any of you incorporate weight lifting into your workputs? I mean like for toning. I dont want saggy arms and legs after surgery! Also, how long before you can start lifting? Any help and input is really appreciated,

I did, but not for toning.  Toning was not going to do anything.  I lifted to make muscle mass to give my drapey skin something to hang over.

I did not start lifting until about 5 months in, I cardio'd until then, but that was my preference.  No matter when you are released to lift, you may find your incisions have something to say about when you actualy ought to lift.

I agree with Brandilynn, weightlifting is the way to go.  You can't go wrong with that.  I primarily lift weights and only do cardio maybe once a week.  I was lifting on my own for about  9 months then I hired a trainer.  That was the BEST money I ever spent on myself.  She worked with me and set me up with a great program that I can now do on my own.  She took away my fear of weights and taught me proper form.  I am no longer self concious about working out in the weight room.

Good luck to you.
