I'm pre op and I've lost 20lbs. (340 - 320) and I can't even see it at all. I feel a little less bloated though, it was probably mostly water weight and I feel that. Can't wait to start to show!

My pants were so tight when I started that I didn't really change a size until I was down about 40 pounds. I'm down a little over 60 pounds now and have gone from a 38 inch  waist in jeans to a 34. Can't wait to be in 31s or 32s!

I think it depends on people. I was in the same size pants weighing 290 as I was at 247. I am pear shaped though. I tend to lose weight faster in my face and neck, then chest..etc. It is like my weight falls off literally from head to toe.

It took a long time for me to go down. I lost 60 pounds before anyone noticed and went from a 24 to a 20. I have now lost 119 & am down to a 14. I want to lose another 40 and was hoping to be a size 8, but really am unsure after 40 what I'd wear; at this rate maybe a10. But, it does seem like smaller sizes require less weight lost to get into them than the large plus sizes.

Good luck with everything! My doctor doesn't require weight loss before surgery unless your BMI is so high or you have ^BP, fatty liver, other health problems. I was also private pay so I didn't have to do the whole insurance run around. Keep up the good work though...you'll tell it soon enough!
