AAAARGH - Can't I lose A Freaking Pound
I have been constant at 259 for the last 6 days. I am 2 lbs from my midpoint. I am doing so freaking good, at almost 50% only 4 months out. I know I am doing everything right. I know Stalls Happen. I have had the coversation with my surgeon, with my support group, with my spouse. Hell, I have even had the conversation with my housecat!
I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing. I am eating less than 600 calories a day, I am exercising, I am taking my vitamins. I deserve to be losing!
I have already had so much success. In less than 4 months I have lost enough to be able to stop taking all my diabetes meds, (my A1C count dropped from 9.2 to 5.4), I have been able to stop all Blood Pressure Meds, I have lost 12 freaking waist sizes. It can't stop now!
I know, its only been 6 days - I just want to reach that 50% mark, and then head out to no longer being Obese but MERELY OVERWEIGHT.
Thanks for listening - It feels better just saying it again.

I sooooo know how you feel! You might want to think about bumping up your calories a little, not with Girl Scout cookies but some good dense protein. Starvation mode is a hotly debated topic here but several threads have said people have lost more by alternating low calorie days with slightly higher.
I think we have to have faith in our own hard work and our tool. I tell myself, I didn't gain it overnight and I won't lose it that way either. But it is horrible how easy it is to gain and how painfully hard to lose!

When I stall - and I have to tell you, six days isn't really a stall - I too get very frustrated and disappointed.
I have to tell myself that I don't control the scale, my body knows more than I do, and maybe I've slowed down to let my head catch up with my body. This kind of self-talk doesn't always work, but it helps.
You'll do great!
If your eating less then 600 calories a day and exercising too, your body may be going into survival mode. I would either up your calories to around 700-800 or if you don't up your calories then maybe skip a day or working out once or twice. Sometimes you have to go off of your normal routine to kinda shock your boy into losing again! Hope this helps!
Thanks everybody for your replies and support. Many of you have said the same thing my surgeon told me. It helps to vent and hear people going through the same thing.
I am well distracted today. My spouse and I are having our housewarming party tonight. We have been cooking all day. We are making fresh pita bread to cut up into pita chips, many dips and sauces, 3 types of italian skewers (melon and prosciutto, Caprese, and pancetta-mozarella), a raspberry pound cake with Moscato wine cream, spinach and ricotta ravioli with Marinara.
7 hours of cooking left, LOL.
And yes, I did have to take a (single) bite of the pancetta after i suteed it, LOL.
