I have been on my preop all liquid plan now for 25 days. How long did you stay on your preop diet?

You have been on liquids for 25 days already? I think every MD is somewhat different. I did not have a liquid diet preop because I was taking a diuretic. I just did lean meats and green vegetables for 2 weeks preop.

Wow! I have 90 days before my insurance will approve my surgery and I have to start doing protein drinks for breakfast and lunch now. I keep reading people starting the liquid diet two weeks before sugery. Glad you posted this.

Mine was 10 days. So glad I did it! It got me used to the post-op liquid diet, and sticking to the liquid plan also helped me to gain confidence :)

Holy crap......I was not required to do ANY pre op but I did 10 days....on my own accord because I felt it would be beneficial.

However....25 days....

WHY????

said it was to shrink my liver. never done this before and i was scheduled for surgery twice and it got pushed back. so i guess you would say im in a holding pattern until i get another surgery date.

You survived what you thought would kill you. Now straighten your crown and go forward like the Queen you are!
