OK....Super disappointed but still progress

Only lost 8 lbs since Jan 5th (VSG was Dec. 5) but a loss is a loss.
I am doing everything according to my Doc's guideance. She tells me to keep doing what I am doing and it will happen.
She thinks it may be due to increased activity/excercise and I may be building mucsle which weighs more than the fat I am losing.

It is noticeable according to everyone I see because they comment on how I am slimming down.
I am down to XL from 3X shirts and pants.
and Down 10 inches (fit but tight - comfortable 8") in waist size.

I guess I could attempt to not eat anything after 7pm (sometimes that late for dinner due to LIFE) except sugar free Jello or the like (non-caloric).

hmmmmmm

PS.....My Doc thinks the 600-800 Calories/day is not enough and I may have placed my body into starvation mode.

Thoughts????

  1st Goal 225      2nd Goal  200     3rd Goal 180   Trying 1st = 3 mo    2nd = 6mo   3rd = 1yr  GW 180

Well.....starvation mode is a myth.  I find it funny that doctors and nutritionists still spout off that nonsense.

It is strange to only lose eight pounds in almost two months though.....especially this soon out from surgery (that would only be about 1 lb a week).

Can you post what you are eating on a daily basis?  And an example of your daily exercise?  Any other medical conditions that might restrict weight loss?

Excersize includes my fitbit stats

15451 steps taken   7 floors climbed 6.78 miles traveled 3843 calories burned 1286 active score

I also will sometimes get on the eliptical but due to my knees only for about 10-15 minutes.

(I am also in the process of building my basement (finishing) for added living space if that counts for lifting weights. LOL)

Just curious is your total calorie count correct. Based on your tracking if you add up all those calories it is a lot higher than thE 789 total?

I had HBP and diabetes going in but have since been taken off the meds and no longer have either condition.

MY BP yesterday was 113/63 which is a great accomplishment considering it was 170/90 + prior to surgery.

This may not be that helpful to you but I had surgery ten days after you. I have had a terrible stall as well since January also. I thought it was from my time of the month where I gained a few pounds, lost those few pounds after the cycle ended but didnt lose any more weight since. I notice when I work out I lose the least amount of weight compared to when I do nothing. Not saying that I'm going to do nothing because I enjoy walking but my body weight just doesnt move as fast. My doctor said because our muscles hold on to tha****er a lot longer to repair it's self. Women have a lot more water issues than men. So to say that I would continue to do what you're doing, eating what you're eating the weight will fall off. I think our muscles are reshaping and just taking a little extra time to show the fat loss.
