I have been having plain protein shakes since I left the hospital.  That is.. what little I have been able to get down.  Today I met with doc and nutritionist for post-op check #1 and was informed that my recipe for my fav protein shake is A-OK!!  (As long as bananas become liquified).

In case any one is curious
Recipe:
1 scoop Promasil (90 cal.; 20 grams protein; 0 sugar)
1 TB PB2 (~22.5 cal; 2.5 g protien, 0 sugar)
1 small banana (85 cal; 2g protein; 10g sugar)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (40 cal; 1g protein, 0 sugar)
Ice (if wanted)

Blend.  Makes enough for me to have two shakes out of- at least at this stage.  But I am just barely making that.  But for only 10g sugar, I get 23g protein.  You can even cut out the calories and sugar  of the banana all the way and use just a touch of banana extract - still taste great.  But right now I am barely getting anything, so the nurse said it was fine, as it is giving good protein.  :D

It's a powdered peanut butter - no fat. Here's the link: it is awesome!!

I found a local store that sells it. It is so good, my kids use it instead of regular pb now.
