I have a question for anyone?  After you were sleeved were you very emtional?  Everything makes me cry now.   I was sleeved in Mexicali mexico 4 days ago and got home yesterday,  very sore and tired.  With the hiatal hernia repair, sleeve and all the traveling all the while trying to sip sip sip I am 1 tired chick!!!!!!   So going to go to bed and relax before another day of walking and sipping start all over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first weeks after surgery are strange. I got kinda emotional over a few things. Walk, sip, watch some trashy tv...I think it takes awhile for all the drugs to get out of your system then you feel better.

I can certainly relate to your concern of being emotional following the surgery ... I am 6 months post-op and can assure you ... down the road itt does get easier and you will feel better day by day. Your on a path that is SO amazing ...

Yep - sure was!  Remember - hormones are stored in your fat cells, so as it burns they are release giving you an awesome ****tail of rollercoaster emotions!  It's normal and a good sign that you are burning some fat off!

Good luck!

Thanks!  I knew about the hormones but had no idea that it could start the emotions this early out of surgery!!!!   Thanks for the input , I really appreciate it!!!

Wow, I am doing so much better at 5 weeks out but early on I was a real emotional mess - some was anesthesia getting out of our system (can take a week or more), the effects of pain medicine and as mentioned above the hormone released as you lose fat.

Plus you are facing a different lifestyle ahead and no matter how ready you thought you were for that, reality starts to sink in.

BUT it gets better and what are a few tears anyway . . .

Glad to hear you made it home safe.... I'm at the airport waiting to board now! I'm weepy too, friend. Still a little sore and tired, so I'm trying to be nice to myself right now lol.

Feel better soon, and keep in touch!
