But surgery went really well, my surgeon said that my liver looked great and that i didnt even loo like it belonged to someone who was overweight. i couldnt sleep at all at the hospital but when i got home i was able to sleep 4 hours in my own bed. i walked a lot at the hospital when i wasnt able to sleep. other then that things seem to be going great!!!! how are all the rest of you new vsg'rs????

i remember when you were on this site a few months ago with enthusiasm bubbling over and now i see the result of that enthusiasm with your terrific pre-op weight loss -- you have a great start!!
i received anti-nausea pills for the first 5 days from surgery. Perhaps you can ask your doctor for an anti-emetic or anti-nausea med. It is not necessary to suffer on something like that. You shouldn't have constant pain either, maybe some discomfort. i was prescribed pain medication for a few days, and after that i still had no pain, just occasional discomfort depending on how i moved.
Congratulations on getting the sleeve! i think you will be pleased with the result. It will be your ally and it will help you so much to control your food intake. Sometimes i think the gastric sleeve changed my brain because i have more control than i ever had.
Take good care of yourself.
