Bye Bye Drain

Went to the surgeon's office today and the nurse removed my drain.
I am so happy to have it gone.  I only have one incision that hurts
me.  All my incisions look good, and most of the bruising is already
gone. Seems rather good to me being only 9 days post op.  I did a
lot of walking today, and that wore me out.  I had to take a nap when
I got home.  Everyone on this website had it right when they told me
each day gets better.  Thank you all!

When I started my pre-op diet I weighed 236.
When I weighed in for my surgeon appointment I weighed 216.
When I weighed in day of surgery I weighed 211.
Today I weighed in at 204.(lost 7 pounds since surgery)
Lost a total of 32 pounds.
I really don't notice any difference. I still wear the same size.
But, I realize a reduction in clothes size will come.
On the way home from the surgeons office today my husband
stopped at our local J C Penney Outlet store and bought
me 4 swim suits in different sizes.  I got 4 suits for the price
of 1.  He said that way throughout the summer I will have
something to wear.  He also got me a suit coverup and two
tops.  I was spoiled today.  He has been very attentive since
the surgery and does anything he can to make things easy
for me. I feel like a very lucky lady.

You are going to laugh.  When they removed the drain I started releasing
air from the hole the drain was in.  I sounded like a balloon that was deflating.
It was rather hysterical since it also made a high pitched sound for a few
seconds.  The hole is already sealing up nicely, and doesn't hurt.

Yay, I bet you feel so much better now that your "sidekick" is gone. I love Penney's outlet, of course sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't. Sounds like today, you scored.
