Has anyone had wine or other alcohol at 2 months out?  I was told I could but I am a bit scared.

You can probably have a little, but why?  It's empty calories and it affects your metabolism long after the buzz wears off.  Hold off as long as you can.

My thought is that I will hold off.  I am going to a 40th birthday bash where everyone will be eating a drinking.  I guess I can "waste time" on the dance floor and chug water.

There is also the fact that we become very cheap drunks...

I'd stick to water and have fun dancing and socializing.

I'm not sure you would be "SoSoHappy" if you made that choice. The sleeve is still very new, the calories are empty, and it's really not worth it. I would think it might even make you sick that early, although I don't know that. I am over 6 months out and I have had maybe 3 oz of red wine on 2 or 3 occassions because getting the nutritious food is much more important.

Alcohol in weight loss is not a good idea.  Alcohol is empty calories.  It's really the same as asking when you could have a chocolate eclair!

its best to wait until you are closer to goal. i had one drink at 6 months at a wedding but otherwise waited until i was at goal. you could have have a spoon of sugar at 2 months also but it would not be a good idea. best to wait it out. diane

You, uh, having some challenges right now with compliance?  Can't help but notice this afternoon you've asked lots of 'permission' questions like can I have alcohol, can I have caffeine, can I drink with straws, can I sat frozen yogurt, etc.

So I'm calling you out on this before your next post. Instead of these individual questions, how about you share what's up, how you're feeling, and what you're struggling with overall? We might be able to bettter help you that way.

Really hoping you'll stay away from frozen yogurts- you'd be able to eat a gallon of that carb-rich slop.

As far as wine - if you started drinking it, are you willing to incorporate it into your calorie tracking, sacrificing other pleasures so you don't go over your budget and still get in 80g or more protein?  If not, then I'd say no alcohol.
