15 months out with pics ***
I haven't updated in a while so I figured while I was waiting for this iPod I'm working to reflash I would post a quick little update.
I had surgery a little over 15 months ago. I have lost a total of betwen 170-180 pounds and have been steady at my goal for a good 3 months. My goal was 220, my doctors was 200 and he won....I stay just above 200.
For anyone on the fence, just do it. find a way. I paid about $12,000 from retirement accounts to do this. It was by far the best thing I have ever spent money on. Just go for it. You can't begin to imagine the quality of life you can lead when your weight is no longer a limiting factor. Explaining it will do nothing so you just have to experience it.
As always, message me if there are any specific questions you have as I would love to take the time to answer anything.
That being said, an update on what I have been doing for the last month or two. My wife and I decided to take a cruise to Alaska. Let me preface this by reminding any of you who haven't lost the weight yet that at 375 pounds, I could and would wear shorts and a tshirt in the snow. You all know how it is. When you lose weight.....holy bat crap batman....it gets cold at 70 degrees....
EDIT to insert: I did gain 2 pounds on the cruise...but lost 7 the next 2 days trying to get back to a routine.....:end edit
With that statement.....This is my wife and I in front of Hubbard Glacier.....burrrrrrrrrrr
rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........
Me eating snow.....figured it was low calorie right?
Alaskan Amber.....I'll never give up a good beer.....pinke fingr out of course.....gotta have it stuck out with such a fine beverage.....
My wife just thought it was cold this early on in the cruise....
Never did figure out what that sugary drink was but daggum it was good....Royal Caribbean btw....
Wasn't too cold that first day in Vancouver.....
Formal dinner.....I still don't like the way clothes fit.....I'm stuck between a medium and a large with lots of XL's in my closet.....too cheap I guess....
Ketchikan....after we remembered that we bought the new DSLR solely because of the flip out screen to where we wouldn't be struggling to take self portraits.....
Before the criuse at my nephews last baseball game.....he wanted to race around the bases....my gosh that boy is so slow.....
WHO STOLE MY BUTT!!!!!
And the cake my wife got for me.....that I couldn't eat....I think she did it just to spite me.....though I did have a bite so who won that battle.....well I guess she did....
So I guess thats its.....apparently cruising is addictive.....I won a total of $1200 in the casinos so with that, I came home and put deposits on two more cruises....one in September for the Bahamas and one on valentines day for cozumel, belize and somewhere else.....loads of fun....and sunburn.....
So with that, ask if you have any questions......
EDIT:
Figured you would need a before pic just for reference....I hate even looking at it now but....oh well...so that you'll se a differnce...

You are Awesome! I can really relate to you. I had my surgery in January, lost 85 or so pounds and just been on a transatlantic cruise! We have done Alaska too though and it's wonderful. Still have some more weight to lose but it's been fun so far and looking forward to reaching my goal soon. Keep up the good work!!!
