I don't hear people talk much about these two meats. Are they off limits?

I was allowed then after about 4 months but I ate them sooner. No one talks about them because they aren't lean but people definitely eat them.

I admit it.  I eat them.  I watch what cuts of beef and pork I eat though and don't eat them every day.

The reason you don't hear as much is because (according to www.myfitnesspal.com) three ounces of grilled sirloin or pork chop has about 200 calories and three ounces of grilled chicken has about 100 calories.  The protein is about the same in both.

So, I don't make a habit of eating steak all the time, but if it sounds good to me and can fit it into my calories for that day, I do have some.  That's fine in my doctor's plan.  But I'm guessing other plans will limit it until further out or even till after goal.

I definitely eat both beef and pork, and have an easier time digesting them as compared to chicken.  I don't eat them often, but I do enjoy them.  I also have the occasional meal of lamb!

I eat a lot of lean beef. Pork-not so much. Beef is very easy on my stomach, pork is not.

I eat both, lean though.  I also do not eat them often, I don't think I even eat them once a week.  I eat more chicken, fish, and ground turkey.

Pork Tenderloin has great stats.. 120 cals per 3oz.   I loves me some pork tenderloin. :)

I eat both. More beef than pork and quite a bit of it. My dad is a butcher...I was raised in a steak and potatoes family. I cook the same and don't eat the potatoes. I do like pork tenderloin and grilled porksteaks. Pork fills me up alot faster than any other meat.

In my program they are off limits until maintenance.  They are not considered lean meats and tend to have mor calories per ounce than Chicken, Fish, Turkey, etc.

That said, if you are cooking yourself you can but VERY lean cuts of both meats.  It can be risky in a restaurant - since you don't know what quality of meat they are serving.

I have avoided them during losing - I could fiend on both of them.
