How are all of my fellow recent post ops tolerating their vitamins? I'm finding that mine don't sit will in my stomach. But I had the same problem before surgery, as I started taking them a couple days a head of time to get used to them. I never had problems with Centrum or One-a-Day when swallowing pills in the past, but these chewable Bariatric Advantage vitamins 1) don't taste that good, but I'll get over it and 2) kind of hurt once they go down my esophogas, similar to the way water hurts. (btw, never thought I'd have trouble tolerating sips of water, goes with the territory of surgery though) Does anyone else have this problem (with Bariatric Advantage or not)? Further, has anyone swtiched from BA to a different brand and noticed a difference?

I use Flinstone Complete chewables & have had no problems both before & after surgery. I am 3 months out & still use them. I use a sublingual B12 & BA calcium citrate chews in the carmel flavor.

Maybe try some finstones, just make sure they are the complete ones & don't get gummies. these won't have all the vitamins & minerals the completes do.

Hope things get better! Glad you have a good attitude about it all though, it helps alot!

I could not eat any of the chewable vitamins or calcium, too gross, too sweet. I gave them away and went back to centrum. I was able to swallow pills pretty soon. Protein shakes have vitamins in the meantime. It will get easier to swallow things, don't worry. I couldn't stand bariatric advantage anything, shakes either, yuck!

If I take Bariatric Advantage on an empty stomach I will throw up.  I had to switch flavors from orange to vanilla the orange just made me sick.
