Ok Carmelita,

I feel like I owe you an apology. Back when I first got here I thought you were some crazy chick spouting off conspiracy theory stuff, but clearly you are on to something. If what USAF wife posted was accurate and that only the original poster can delete a thread then something is clearly amiss. Somebody ate their Lucky Charms this morning because the post magically disappeared.

I didn't see your original post, but I've seen some pretty offensive posts on other boards around here and they are usually just moved to Rants & Raves rather than deleted...

Didn't check there, and will not bother too. It is no longer listed though under my forum posts. I suspect it has been vaporized. No problem though.

It's not in R&R. I was saying that because it wasn't moved to R&R, I had assumed you requested it to be pulled.

It is odd (although stranger things have happened over and over again around here), but I guess not a huge loss since you had deleted the post originally anyway?

No Buckeye...HappyTeachers post was reported by the 'Criangle clique' and... OH MODERATORS pulled the entire thread. ..as you can see HT didn't even know it was pulled. She'll get an email from moderators telling her it was pulled. It was NOT moved to Rants n Raves forum as other Criangle pts. rants ...bashing new VSGrs ...have been 'moved' in the past

and yes HT .now known as the selective vet "witch basher" was indeed able to modify her post ...delete content...before Moderators get ahold of complaint reports

..but this is the FIRST TIME , Ive witnessed OH Moderators pull an entire thread AFTER the OP modified /deleted content of their post.

Some very POWERFUL influence/censorship has occured since LapSF bought this public forum ~6months ago.

We can delete our "reply" posts only. We can modify original "topic" posts we create..but we cannot remove them.
An OP can however, report her/himself ONLY...and ask that a THREAD be removed or moved.
only "report" complaints "from others" to moderators will make that thread disappear into oblivion...out of OPs control then.

eta: A little moderatin 101 from someone that's BTDT recently lmao!! Ive seen it happen repeatedly "to others" here...mostly during the DS invasions

Yeah, that struck me as odd too that HT seemed to not receive a note from a moderator about why it was pulled, but I see she just posted that she hasn't checked her email yet.

I think censorship on OH is not a concern specific to the VSG board, but maybe it does have something to do with LapSF's sponsorship. OH is a business afterall and they can do what they wish with their site. I'm not really a business-minded person, but that doesn't seem so far fetched to me.

Carnelita is my hero and now HT is on the list too. There are some people here that you have to agree with and be like, or you are just plain wrong. For me it got old quick. Maybe because I'm a special ed teacher and I know that there is more than one way to get the right answer to a problem. For some people though, there is only one way...and that's their way.
