I've heard that milk helps with weight loss...

I'm not sure about this with me because of the carb count.  Does anyone have any insight?  I'm currently drinking 8 oz of skim milk a day in the morning which doesn't leave a lot of room for the carb count for the rest of the day.  Any suggestions?

I know milk is good because of the protein. Perhaps try unsweetened soy milk?

It is the same calories but only 4gs carbs vs. 12gs in skim milks. Soy only has 1g sugar, skim has 12gs. The protein is almost the same, soy is 7gs, skim is 8gs.

Good Luck!

The only soy milk I like is the chocolate.  :(

I think in general, milk is good as part of a well rounded diet, but if you are watching carbs, then it definitely throws a curve ball in there.

I prefer to use unsweetened almond milk for 35 cal/cup vs FF milk at 90 cal/cup. I dont drink it straight bc its not that good, but i use it for everything else.

I may have to do what Rob said and just not drink my calories at all.  My PCOS tends to make carbs the devil and I had never paid attention to carbs in milk before now but it might explain why I crave it sometimes.

I haven't had mil since october.  My rule has been to not drink my calories - and that includes milk.  The things I need from milk, protein, calcium, etc I get from cottage cheese and greek yogurt and the like.

That's a great idea!!  I had never really paid attention to the carbs in milk before now but it really explains why I crave it sometimes.

I'll have to see if I like cottage cheese because I can't eat yogurt (I hate it).

Thanks for the idea.  I don't know why I didn't think of it.
