I am getting ready to go see my PCM and hopefully she will put a referral in for me and not try to railroad me.  I have all the info I need written out in a notebook I am taking.  The reasons why I want to get the VSG, the doctor I want to get referred to etc.  Is their anything else I should talk to my PCM about.

Tell them ALL of your troubles associated with obesity like sleep apnea, any ache or pain in your bones or joints, swelling or ulcers of your ankles or feet, stress incontinance or "bladder leakage", snoring, shortness of breath with exertion, etc..  Sometimes they need to hear the list of things we are usually too ashamed to tell them about in order to justify the referral.  Good luck!
