Diabetes - Interesting VSG video

 This surgeon is in same practice as mine and this video is really informative about the whole diabetes VSG thing.  I saw someone post something about "radical 40 lb weight loss" and that attributing to her diabetes being gone, however this information suggests something different.  Just food for thought.

 i too have lost almost 60 lbs  and have had vsg.

i stopped taking my insulin in the second week of opti and have not  had to since.

my fasting level  this moring was  6 ,,,   normal is between 5 and 7  by Canadain measures.

I knew VSG was a hormonal metabolic surgery only have to go thru the hair loss phase to KNOW that! lmao.....but exactly how it worked on remission of diabetes II was unknown to me...the article/study he cites was done in Italy in March 2012. ..looked at DS and RNY...no mention of sleeve. 

Thank you so much RED!! ...much more clarity on the HOW (impact on insulin receptors) than I got almost 4 years ago...back in the pioneerin days!  Science is ever changing...I appreciate this...especially for you up n comin VSGrs!!
