I'm so excited and scared my surgery date is getting closer faster than i thought it would...i have quite a bit of weight to lose and am wondering if i should start my liquid diet a week early 3 wks instead of 2 wks to help get a little extra  weight off or is this a no no?  i go from happy to freaking out i hope i dont drive those around me crazy until my surgery day.

Congrats

Honestly, I wouldn't start a liquid diet a whole week early, IMHO... two weeks is tough enough, plus you'll be on liquids for a few weeks after surgery as well.

My advice? If you want to lose a little extra before surgery, I would cut carbs, up my protein, and drink as much fluid as possible. Losing more weight before surgery is a great idea. The healthier you can be the day of surgery, the better... but IMO, no need to add a whole extra week with no solid food to get there.

Good luck!

I vote stick with solids as long as you can.  You will be so tired of liquids by the time you get solids again - don't add to your torture! LOL!

Congrats!
