dropping in to say hi

Its been quite some time since I have been on here, but I though I would drop in to say hi and see how everyone has been.  Its a little over 8 months since my VSG and it has been one hell of a ride.  I had surgery weighing 218 with a high weight of 225.  I am surrently weighing in at about 210 pounds, but the biggest difference is in my clothes.  I now wear a 34 in jeans (previously 44-46) and a large or medium shirt (previously a 3XL).  Today was a big NSV for me as I tried on my GA Tech football jersey from last season and it completely swallowed me whole and hung to my knees.  Its moments like this that remind me how far I have come.

To anyone out there considering surgery, I will tell you that it has changed my life.  I enjoy life in a way I never expected.  Food is still a challenge for me as I dont always make the best choices, but I will say that I work hard to burn those extra calories when I do stray off the reservation.   I ran the warrior dash this year (well, 2 miles till I broke my ankle), I gave up my desk job and took a job in construction, and let not even talk about the attention I seem to get from women these days.

If anyone has any questions about what the process or life has been like, please feel free to ask.

Oh and I will say, get used to your ass hurting all the time when you sit.  That may be my only complaint, oh my aching tailbone.

You look great! Did you mean you're starting weight was 318 and high weight was 325?

Way to rock the sleeve.
