I am in the process of appealing my DENIED revision from band to RNY.

I am seriously considering flying to Mexico and converting to the sleeve instead.

How long were you out of work??

I took 3 1/2 weeks and needed it. Good luck with insurance. Can your surgeon do a peer to peer with them?

We already did. I was denied for nothing being wrong with the band.

I am working on a written appeal now.

Dr. Sauceda future patient - body will be by Sauceda!

Surgery 4 Jun 12 Dr Ponce de Leon in Mexico I was down 57 lbs prior to surgery.

I took a week and focused on making myself better that entire week and was enough for me.... Now I got my procedure in Mexico too. Keep in mind everyone is different.

I went back to work one week after surgery in Mexico..
Not one problem!! I am a hairdresser and on my feet all day.

Julie - could you do me the favor of a quick timeline of what your time in Mexico and then recovery was like? For example, what day did you arrive in Mexico, what day was sugery, when did you fly home and then when did you start work.

I would greatly appreciate it!!!

6 wks... I needed it... I broke out in a rash after surgery and I was nt going back to wr****il it cleared up

VSG on 11/10/11

I flew in on a Thursday Nov. 10th . Got to the hosp. about 10:30 am.. HAd all my tests. And they took my to surgery at 4:30 pm . Had a pretty rough 24hrs. but then started feeling better... Then went to the hotel (beautiful) for 2 days/nights. Flew home on Monday, could have gone home Sunday easy.
Not one regret at all!!
