Medicare

Hi, everyone. I live in Alabama and am wondering if Medicare covers VSG, or if it is still under review. My BMI is 54 and I really need this surgery with all my health concerns(diabetees, HBP, sleep apnea, arthritis, high cholesterol). I know it pays for RNY, but I think that is too drastic for me. I never wanted to be skinny, just healthy. I'm only 5'4 and I weight 300 pounds.

I am on Medicare here in La and I was approved.  Surgery on 9/25.
