Last night I noticed I was itching and after a long night I woke up at 2am with hives all over my body. Iwent ahead and decided to go to the ER because I felt like it was an allergic reaction. I am nervous about this because Surgery is next Tuesday and I am afraid they wont go through with it if I still am broke out. I called the Doctor today and the nurse said they will not cancel surgery over the hives, but I dont know how I will get through the pain with all this itching.... say a prayer that this will go away and I will figure out what is bothering me. My routine, food, and habits have not changed so this is just bizarre.

I ise to get hives all the time. You just need something like Benadryl or Clartin and antihystamine and they will go away.

Stress can bring on hives too- if your feeling overwhelmed, try to relax or do something you really enjoy!

My guess would be stress over your up coming surgery. You need to go over every step of whats going to happen, until you feel you understand it. We only fear what we don't know. God Bless

Did and you try the topical benadryl.  When I was youger I delt with
stress by breaking out in Hives.  Iched like crazy and got as big as
dinner plated.  They shot me up with steroids but, they didn't go away
till they gave me something to mellow me out.  Ask your PCP.
