I spent the last 6 weeks craving, being depressed, longing for, and just waiting to taste the foods I so missed... Well I have found those foods no longer taste as good as I remember.. Just one bite and I taste all the fat, grease, unhealthiness, and just don't want them...  I now enjoy the true flavor of veggies, meat, eggs... Unadulterated taste! Yay!!! I can only hope this continues...  Now if I can detox my kids we will be in business!!!

I love how our taste buds change :) I had a hard time accepting it at first but now it excites me too.

Isn't it wonderful???

As for the kids--you know, if they'll cooperate, go for it.  If they won't--well, put yourself first on this one.  Don't take on more stress than you need to.  There's plenty of time to get sneaky with them later.

Nothing taste as good as before surgery for me anymore.  Now I just eat to live and not live to eat.  At 12 weeks post op, I can only eat 3-4 ounces at a time and all but one ounce of each meal is protein.  I guess this is good as I am less than 40 pounds from my first goal but eating is anything but exciting anymore.
