Century Club, Baby! And a pic :)
As of this morning, I am down 100.4 pounds from my weight when I started the preop diet. My husband was being nosey and standing next to the scale when I weighed, and I was so excited I about jumped off the scale and into his arms... lol!
Then I also realized that this means I officially have less than 13 pounds to a healthy BMI, and less than 20 to my goal weight. Not sure what means more to me at this point... while I know that I'll always need to remember how far I've come as one of many strategies to help improve my odds of staying healthy, there's also something stunning about knowing that I really CAN and WILL make my goals the reality... even if I end up changing my goal, I'll still be far better off than I was 7 months ago.
And now, for the pic... my husband and I are working at a local haunted house this weekend and next, and a friend took this pic. The theme is "zombie apocalypse," and my husband is the last cop who has not been zombified. He comes out shooting his fellow cops, who are all zombies, yells to the guests, "you're all infected! You're all gonna die!!!" and runs away. He then comes back later and chases them out of the building with a chainsaw. I have the pleasure of being a guide this year, so I'm a soldier whose job it is to make sure that "as many of my group make it out alive as possible." We're having fun, and the proceeds benefit the city's Christmas "Shop with a Cop" program... so we're doing a community service at the same time. It's taking up a lot of my time right now, but it's so worth it!
Here we are with two of his zombie cop friends:
To those who are on the fence about going through with this: if I can do it, I know you can!
To those who were sleeved ahead of me: thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you have done to motivate, encourage, and support me. I couldn't have gotten anywhere near this far without you!
Now to work on a research paper for grad school, go for a run, and go to the haunt! :)

And Haha! I actually had a couple of boys last night... looked like they were around 5th grade or so... who got so scared at one point that they ran ahead of me and all the way out to the end! Their mom freaked out on me because she thought I had left them behind somewhere... and I kept having to reassure her that I saw them go ahead of me. When we got outside, they were sitting on the bleachers huddled together and shaking... lol! And they didn't even get to see my husband's part because they ran right past it... my husband said they were a bit confused when they saw these kids run out... good times!
