OMG , All these intials!!

Hey everyone!!

I am new to this sight and have everything in order and am waiting for a date.. I come on here every night to keep my motivation going and see all your wonderful stories,comments, questions, and tips.. But I am having some trouble with the initials that everyone is using for things.. Can someone maybe list some of them??

TOM?etc??? It would help sooo much!!

Not sure which you are talking about but I am sure one of them will be NSV which stands for Non-scale Victory.

i believe TOM is Time of month :)

LOL.. See some of these initials might be referring to things that are simple and I am looking to deeply into them, but keep them coming even if they do seem simple, it really helps!!

Hi Kris,  hehe I think we're in the same boat so to speak lol. but mine are simple,

The ones I use mostly are:

TC = Take Care and

GB = God Bless

I asked this same question before I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and got about the same response  as you. I think they need to add a sticky with all the abbreviations. I still don't know what a ppi is.  

Proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) - group of drugs whose main action is a pronounced and long-lasting reduction of gastric acid production. Examples: Prilosec, Xantac, Gas-X, etc....

NSV - Non-Scale Victory (you'll use this one alot!)

SV - Scale Victory (when you've made goals)

TOM - Time of Month (that's when your "friend" visits and you never want that around..LOL!)

TMI - self explanatory..

VSG - you know this one..

RNY - that's a gastric bypass

I'm sure you'll see more down the road and if you're not sure, just ask. Someone will always have an answer for ya...that's why we're here. Keep us posted on your progress and welcome to the Loser's bench...
