Half-way point and 3 month surgiversary
Hi everyone! I mostly lurk here, but I try to chime in with monthly progress updates. I find the success stories and B&A pictures especially motivating. Someday I'll share my own pics. Haha. Anyhow, I celebrated my 3 month surgiversary on November 6th. Since my all-time high I am down 71 pounds. Since day of surgery, I'm down 53 pounds. I am happy with my progress. As motivation, I keep a couple jars on my bathroom countertop. One jar says "pounds to lose" and the other says "pounds lost". The pounds to lose jar is filled with small decorative stones, each stone representing one pound to lose to reach goal weight. As I lose, I transfer a stone from the pounds to lose jar to the pounds lost jar. Today I realized that I officially have more stones in the pounds lost jar than in the pounds to lose jar. I passed the half-way point! Hooray! (71 lbs lost, 67 to go.) I still have a way to go, but I'm so happy that I got sleeved.
I don't have a pic to share of my jars, but if you go to Google images and type in "motivation marbles" you'll see examples.
Love it! I'm definitely setting one up for myself :)

Hey there! We are sleeve twins! You are doing great...halfway is HUGE!! I am not quite to half way yet. I have 5 more lbs to go to get there but I can taste it! I love the jar idea as a motivation. It's good to have those visuals to keep us going. I think it keeps us looking at the big picture too. I might have to copy that one. Thanks for sharing you progress!
