Cranberry sauce with Truvia... BLECH!

One of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes I tried to make with sugar substitute and it was one of the most disgusting things I've ever tasted.  It reminded me of that nasty protein jello I got in the hospital.  Lesson learned!  Good thing I tried it in advance!

Try this one---it got good reviews last year and requests for a repeat this year.

1 jar SF Smuckers Orange Marmalade; orange zest--melt in a saucepan over medium heat for about 5 mins; stir in 1/4 tsp of cinnamon.  Add 12 oz bag of fresh cranberries; up the temp a little so you get a slow boil; cranberries start to burst and mash them against the side of the pan---about 20 mins. Stir in 1 cup of granulated Splenda; cook another 5 mins.  You can add a little OJ if you need more liquid.  Cool.

I didn't have a full serving---just a tablespoon for tasting. I thought it was pretty good.

 

Edited to add--not bad on the cals. but a little high on the carbs regardless of all the SF
