Hello,

tomorrow morning is my big surgery day.  I am scheduled at 8am.  I am nervous, excited, anxious, all of the above.  My 10 day pre op diet has been hard on me.  But I'm almost there!  The journey for approval and preparation has been long and I am so excited to start the next phase of healthy choices and weight loss.

Please keep me in your prayers.

BTW _ am I the only person who lost so few pounds during pre op?  I only lost 5 pounds which seems odd to me.

I didn't have to go on preop diet to lower my BMI, just 2 days of clears before surgery. So just by changing my eating habits to include less carbs, I lost only 6 lbs before surgery.

Best wishes for surgery tomorrow. You will do great! See you on the losers' bench.

For my insurance I had to lose 10 lbs but I regained 3-5 depending on day... I too only had to do 1 day of clear liquids, no pre-op diet. Good luck tomorrow!!

You are fine!  It is more about cleaning out your system than weight loss.  I am on day 2 post-op, and feeling pretty good, other than the headache.  I didn't loose but about 4 lbs preop, but I had been steady losing since my date was set, so I didn't see a rapid loss.

Prayers are headed your way.
