Dating NSV!!
Went out for my BFF's birthday last night with a big group of people. And at the end of the night I got asked for my number by an acquaintance I've had a crush on for over 10 years, lol. So exciting! The bitter part of me wanted to be mad that he wasn't interested 50 lbs ago. But as I thought about it, maybe he was interested and I didn't know. Or maybe my new confidence level has made it easier for him to approach me. Or maybe my no longer hiding in the corner has made people take notice. I'm not going to blame him for that. But I've seriously been waiting for this for 10+ years!!! Woo Hoo!!
Congrats! Dating has its issues regardless of our size, but I have always held to the statement " People won't like you til you like yourself" And I think its true. I get alot more attention now and I can't tell if its the weightloss, the boost in my self confidence or a combination of both. I have a friend who has been interested in me for over 10 yrs and I've known he has liked me and now he is making it even more known. I think ppl who have known us thru our struggles can look at you and see when you are ready to take your friendship to the next level. Good luck with everything!
