I'm still in pain throught my torso.  I've been walking around a little it but I still can't stand up straight as everything feels so tight.  Did/does anyone else have this problem?  I figured by day four the healing would be farther along.

I did not but my husband had his appendix out this summer and struggled to get upright. It took him a bit but he was okay.

True.  I'd prefer to save those calls for something more pressing.  I realized I hadn't taken any pain meds.  Once I did, I was able to walk around much better.  I even went to target and then the mall.  Gee, who knew pain meds would be so helpful :-)

I'm glad you're feeling better, but I know Cirangle would want you to call him the next time you're in that much pain.  He's always available for us, especially right after surgery.

Good luck, and stay on Gabby's plan!

you just have to do it. stand up a little straighter every time you stand up. yes, things feel a little tight, but the longer you go bending over, the longer they will stay tight.

just very slowly and easily stand straight, and remember to breathe.

I was stooped over for a couple weeks at least. The big incision upper right, was pulling badly from inside. Gradually it got better. Now there's just a little marble under the skin, the dr said it is scar tissue and to massage it. But no pain anymore.
