Well marrying into it helps a lot! And staying married!! LOL!! And having three kids and offering them both the Senegalese heritage and family of my husband and also mine. Both hubby and I work for the UN so we have travelled ALOT! And we have been posted several times in Africa. It has been an amazing ride so far. Can't wait for the next half!!! Hopefully at goal weight!!

Baby!! You have SOOOO much to offer...your kids are living the absolute life...I hope they see it now!!! You my friend...have WAY much in inner beauty to offer. I am sure they see it...i do..and i dont even live with you!!! Although...should you ever want to adopt a fat girl....lol...i shall allow you the opportuntihy...!!!!!!!!!!!!

Born in the Ukraine, lived in the Soviet Union, left as refugees in the 70s through Israel and Belgium and landed in Western Canada when I was 11. I left Canada in 1990 when I joined the UN and have been all over Africa on posts and now am in Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. But live/sleep over the border in a gorgeous little French village, 10 minutes from Geneva.

I am just like you dear...a fat chick trying to get healthy. Nothing special! Interesting life, yes, but lots of folks have interesting lives. I am just normal. Well, maybe a bit on the short side of normal at five ft, nothing, but truly just an ordinary person.

Well, I say this as a relatively well traveled person. I am ex Navy. I have traveled the world. yet you make my travels seem nada. I admire this!! Tell me, how did you meet ur hubby?

Oh and the only thing keeping me from travel is money and time...

My first posting was in Dakar with the UN and I met him here. He was my teacher first and I fell in love with him on the phone, the first time I talked to him to set up a teaching appointment. Heard his voice and my knees literally went weak almost to the point of me having to sit down, so I knew this was it. Had to fire him as my teacher because he was so damn professional and didn't want to start a relationship while we were in a student/teacher situation...so he got fired and got a wife instead. That was in October 1990! We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary on December 26th. Our kids are 17, 16 and 14. Two girls and a boy in the middle. My husband still looks exactly the same as when I met him and our kids are simply gorgeous. And my in laws are amazing. I am an only child and have always missed having brothers and sisters and now I have 9! And their respective spouses too. Too many blessings!! So I know the attitude of gratitude and practice it daily!
