Anybody NOT lose their hair after surgery?

I have a ton of hair, so I'm not totally worried about it -- I can afford to lose some.  But hearing these horror stories about clumps of hair being pulled out...freaks me out a bit.

I didn't lose my hair - it did thin a little - especially around the temples.  Noticeable to me (since I w as looking at it/for it) but not to others.  I didn't have clumps coming out - but with washing would have lots come out - but in now way was balding!

Every strand lost was a microscopic bit of weight lost too lol!

I am 4 months out and loosing tons and tons of strands in the shower, no clumps.  My hair was very fine to begin with and it started to feel too thin.  I went for a bob hair cut to get some body back into it, until it grows back again.  You are lucky to have thick hair :)

Had a friend who lost hair by the handfuls at around 21/2 months , lasted for a few months before slowing down. I am 9 months out - not lost hair yet. My hair is very fine and thin so I don't have any to spare, I guess the good news is I hear everyone talk about regrowth.

Like Lucy I had very thick hair to begin with, but I never lost much. I noticed some thinning around 4-6 months, but nothing anyone one but me would have noticed.

good luck!

I am 3.5 months out and holy hairloss! I have always had TONS of hair, so it is something I haven't been overly worried about, but now with the amount I have lost, I am really nervous about how much more I might lose. I haven't vacuumed in over a month (I know, I've been super busy) and my husband ended up having to cut my hair off the vacuum roller because it clogged our dyson. So... Not sure what a person can do about it. I have taken biotin every day since surgery, always gotten in at least 70 grams protein, most closer to 90. Just crossing my fingers that the worst part is over... Best wishes to you!

I am 7 months out and have lost 0 hair.  But, I also never lost my hair when I was on chemo when it was a 100% guarantee that I would...  I think it's because my hair grows slowly.

Im six months out and have very very thick hair.  I have had a major thinning but no bald spots and I noticed that it  is not thinning as much this last month.
