Soooo tired!

When will I stop being tired and have some energy back?  I am almost 2 months post op and have lost 44 lbs.  I thought by now I would start to get some energy back, but not yet.  I am working out and lifting for toning but it doesn't seem to be helping either.  Any suggestions?  Oh, and I also get all my protein in and water (with exception for this week cause I was sick).  My doc said usually around 2 months I will be full of energy, but I haven't found it yet.

I've had the band surgery (waiting for the sleeve) and I remember being that tired after mine.  Turned out I was low on B's and calcium too.  Have you been able to take your vitamins?  If not...it might be worth a try and see if it helps?  Also, after that 2 month mark, if you are still feeling pretty tuckered out, giving your doc a call might be worth a shot.  Hope your energy comes back though...take care. :-)

When are your next bloods due?  If its not soon, it might pay to get your doctor to check them as you could be low in iron.  I know for me, even pre-surgery, if my iron was low, I always felt whacked.

low b-12 and iron are typical culprits -- so check your vitamins and food intake to see if you are getting enough. I was sleeved on Nov. 14, and am not as energetic as I think I should be either.  So I just check my vitamins, and found that they have 50% of the RDA, and I'm sure I'm not getting the other 50% in my food.

The doc asked me last visit if I was taking iron, and I said no.  So, I'm shopping tonite for iron!  I read previous posts that iron carbonyl is the best tolerated -- and you can get it from vitalady.  But I wanted some now -- so I'm shopping tonite!

Good luck!

I take B12 and a B complex, but no iron.  Years ago I was anemic but it seemed to correct as I got older.  I don't go for bloodwor****il next month, so I'll try upping my vitamins and add iron to see if that helps.  Thanks guys!!
