Hello everyone,

I've been reading this forum for a while and decided to finally post.  I'm going for my pre-op appointment today, and my sleeve surgery is Thursday.   I'm nervous and excited.   Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences.  It has helped me feel like I'm going in with eyes wide-open.  I'm just praying for an easy recovery because I don't have much time off of work.   I'm expected back next Wed.  Since I sit behind a desk all day, I guess I'll manage?!   Anyway, I look forward to sharing post-op experiences with you all.

Awesome!  I'm the same way, been reading this site for quite sometime now but never posted.  My appointment is at 3:30 today with Dr. Balder in Gulfport, MS.  He is affiliated with the clinic in Slidell.  Since I am a self pay patient I just have to set the date.  Right now the price is only $10,500.00 at Garden Park Hospital until March then the price goes up.  My husband told me if I was going to do it go ahead and do it now to save us some money or he's getting another boat.  NOT GONNA HAPPEN!  Good luck!

RollTide2013 -

I'm self-pay also, so the process was pretty easy once I decided to go ahead with it.   Now that my pre-op is done, I just need to count the hours down!  Good luck to you also.  That's a good price.  Choose surgery over the boat!  lol!

I will be self-pay as well.  Having my surgery in Baton Rouge.  Do you mind if I ask how much you will be paying?

You'll do great.  I went back to work a week after surgery (a desk job) and everything was fine. Just remember to always have water or Isopure on hand to keep sipping because you don't want to get dehydrated.
