Hellos everyone :) my name is Miranda and I am getting ready to undergo surgery for VSG on February 20th. I am now in the process of my 2 week liquid/protein diet and I am having a pretty rough time. I have NEVER to this day liked milk or milk based products or substance. I am having difficulty finding a protein shake that I can tolerate.

Talk with your NUT. Mine had a specific substitute plan for non-milk drinkers.

Have you tried Unjury's Chicken Soup? It is my favorite still and was pre-op as well. I didn't always want to drink something sweet or cold and this was my saving grace.

Thank you so much I will certainly try that. Where do you buy it?

You can only order if from www.Unjury.com, they offer packets and a bigger container as well. I bought the sample packet so I could try each flavor.

How much powder are you supposed to put in each cup? I got my cousin in Kansas to order some and send it over to me (they won't ship to New Zealand). I tried it and thought it was revolting, which surprised me after all the great reviews.

But maybe I made it wrong?

1 scoop per 8oz of water (water warmed to 140 degrees). I use a shaker bottle or a mini whisk and never have clumps/lumps. I think it is great.

How much is a "scoop" though?  My container didn't have a scoop in it...lol
