Anyone tried the Shakeology shakes as a meal and source of protein once a day? Wondering what you thought. . . results etc.

I used it before my surgery. It has a lot of sugar in it... but it does help keep your energy up. Personally, I think there are better products out there for a better value.

Chocolate tastes good, but I think the calories per protein of Pure Protein cant be matched.

It's not really appropriate for a WLS patient in the weight loss phase. 

A typical Shakeology shake has only 17 g of protein but 17 g of carbs and 9 of those are from sugar! You want something with at least 20 g of protein and less than half of that as grams of carbs and less than 6 grams of the carbs should be sugar.

 

This doesn't even get into the fact that Shakeology is a MLM program with deceptive marketing practices and that powder is much more expensive than it should be considering the ingredients. mail
