I am having a hard time taking Calcium supplments. I have Twinlab bariatric support calcium wafers, however those things are HUGE and I have to take 4 of them! Ups my carb count by 5 grams. Not to mention that they taste horrid. Anyone using something good and low carb?

I've been taking LifeTime CalMag Citrate, and it's comparatively decent. I confess caramels with CalMag citrate in would be tastier, but the lemon is pretty decent and it doesn't appear to have any carbs at all. Check it out: http://www.lifetimevitamins.com/products/lifetime_calcium750.html

If you want to avoid the carbs, how about Citracal? They are not tiny tablets, but once I was about three weeks out, I was able to wash them down.

Sam's Club also has it's own version of Citracal -- they are "petites", but still kind of big.  At first, I just bit them in half and could swallow them pretty easily.  I don't know the carb count though!

I take this brand.  I take capsules because I don't like chewable and I converted ALL my vitamins to capsules because they dissolves easier so you are absorbing better then tablets or gel cabs.  I find them at the VitaminShoppe or website VitaCost

It's 4 capsules for 1000mg
