I am proud to say I am 16 months out and maintaining! I went from 234 lbs size 20 pants and size XXL shirts to ranging between 129lbs to 134 lbs and a size 5/6 pants and small shirts. This is an amazing experience that I was so terrified of doing. I chickened out and waited a year saying I could do it myself and stayed fat. When I got this done, the worst thing I felt was the gas pain. But that was temporary and subsided day by day. I can honestly say I can walk 2 miles and not be out of breath--I can sleep and not snore...I can cross my legs!! Ladies, you know this is huge!! I do have areas that I am concerned with---I have some skin in my belly that makes me feel fat--I mean hell, I did lose over 100 lbs--I have to tell myself this daily! This can be a mind game--you have to tell yourself you are not fat--even though when you look in the mirror, you do not always see a skinny person...I have seen some people that say they can eat whatever and not gain weight back, I am not that person--I have to continue to work out 2 days per week or so or I will start to gain weight back--the only reason I know is because I was down to 126 lbs and didnt want to lose anymore so I started adding things into my diet that were not the best choices, and I let off working out so much because I didnt want to lose anymore weight and I continued to make not such good choices and the next thing I know, I had gained 6 lbs back...I know some will say "hey its only 6 lbs" but that is huge! I went back to my good eating habits which contains of 80-100 grams of protein per day and less than 15 carbs or so--unless they are whole grain carbs which I will allow a little more. I truly feel that the hard work I have to put in to maintain the weight loss makes me appreciate it so much more! I hope my story inspires someone the way someone elses inspired me!

**on  side note- since he does not have an account, I will also  share that my husband had the surgery as well in July 2012 and has maintained his 85 lb weight loss!

Wow! I'll say it again.... Wow! Great job. You look fantastic. As a newbie, anytime I see Before and After pictures, my mind gets off counting protein and carbs and stressing over SF this or NF that... and instead...I am inspired...and hopeful. Thank you!

Awesome!!!  I can't wait until I am able to look back at where I was and see results like this!!  I'm still early in the process and have a ways to go.
